MAKE WAY FOR THE VACCINE EXPRESS

Never before has Air Freight received so much attention from the world. During the times when vaccines were being tested, Cathay Pacific was working on their Vaccine Solution that rely on Pharma LIFT and Priority LIFT including the next-gen track-and-trace service called Ultra Track.
This data logging system will include bluetooth transmitters that will keep the control centre updated of GPS position, temperature, vibration and humidity in near real-time, making it ideal for temperature-sensitive and fragile shipments.
This news comes bearing challenges of vaccines that require shipping temperatures to be far below standard life-science shipments. With limited amount of dry ice allowed on the aircrafts, team Cathay has been in talks with Boeing an Airbus to increase the dry ice limits.
After an astonishing revelation from IATA suggesting that the distribution of vaccines will require the equivalent of 8,000 Boeing 747s, it will be interesting to see what happens next!
