Ocean freight is the logistics of exporting & importing cargo by shipping lines. Goods are packed in shipping containers, we books the space or container, cargo is trucked to the shipping line at the port of origin and shipped overseas to the importer at the port of destination.

Less container load (lcl): a need of the hour

The development of LCL came into play when business attitudes of  companies in various different industries changed due to change in customer buying behaviour. Managements established the idea of keeping lower SKUs caused by lower product cycles in-turn  increased transport cost. With coming in of LCL, the total cost of container transportation gets split between users (with less container load) and adapts to the needs.
