EXPANDING FACILITY IN DXB

Since last year, Emirates SkyCargo has moved over 75 million doses of the vaccine on more than 250 flights to over 60 destinations. In order further capitalise on handling capacity, SkyCargo is expanding its vaccine storage facility at the Dubai International Airport which will allow the airlines to hold an additional of 60-90 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine which is equivalent to a 94 pallet spread. This 2,600 square meter of space is capable of storing temperature sensitive pharma items and will come in handy as the airlines expects an increase in demand to transport vaccines in the second half of the year.
