India’s battle against the second wave of Covid-19 has been challenging. However, in these grim times, the international love and support our nation has received is overwhelming. Following are the updates:
May 9 - FedEx flew in flights from New Jersey to Delhi and Mumbai, delivering 3,400 oxygen concentrators and 265,000 KN95 masks
May 12 - Emirates SkyCargo established a humanitarian airbridge between Dubai and India to transport urgent medical cargo. also offering available cargo capacity free of charge to nine cities in India.
May 12 - Volga-Dnepr Airlines transported more than 200 tonnes of medical equipment including oxygen storing containers, concentrators and cryogenic containers were flown in from China, Ireland and Germany.
May 14 - SpiceXpress airlifted 51,000 oxygen concentrators from the US, Singapore and China to India
May 16 - FedEx transport more than 780 oxygen concentrators and more than 1.8m KN95 masks, as well as medicines and pharmaceutical supplies from New Jersey
May 17 - 2,500 oxygen concentrators (approx. 70 tonnes) were flown in from Tel Aviv by one of Antonov’s seven AN-124-100 aircraft.
