ETIHAD CUTS DOWN CO2 EMISSION DRAMATICALLY

​Working side-by-side with Boeing for last 2 years, Etihad Airways recently operated a flight using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) that reduced CO2 levels by whopping 72%. Flight EY20 flew from London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi cutting down CO2 emission by 39,000kg and fuel burn by 1,800kg. The partnership between EY20’s manufacturer - Boeing and Etihad Airways has tuned the aircraft efficiently and has set a benchmark for the aviation industry. This flight was a part of Etihad’s Greenliner programme proving the importance of sustainable aviation fuel over current fossil fuels.
